Perfect and wonderful venue, glorious location very close to a wonderful church, the classy wood-panelled restaurant and walking in the area. Well-equipped units with good bathroom. The staff was competent and the restaurant served savoury meals.

I didn't want to say goodbye and would like to stay here on the next trip. The property was impeccably clean and staff was very attentive. The location was stunning and lovely - near to activities and walking in the area. I thoroughly enjoyed having breakfast at the dining room. The rooms were pet-friendly and the service first-class.

A top quality hotel with friendly staff. We didn't eat in the restaurant but judging by the quality of the breakfast we will do next time. Room was spacious and very well appointed. Good value for money.

Nice country pub, great location, good food.

We were put up in a separate building to the main hotel, which was disappointing as the reason for booking was that I've seen the place before and the historic nature of the old building was a reason we wanted to stay. The room was clean and had reasonable facilities but was in need of redecoration; it felt like it had seen better days and the decor was dated - more what my mother would like. We felt that we were too young to be staying there. Food good but a bit expensive (I've had better food in gourmet restaurants for less).

I recently had the pleasure of staying in a charming village hotel that surpassed all expectations. From the moment I stepped foot in this hidden gem, I was greeted with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff were attentive and friendly, ensuring that every need was met with a smile. The attention to detail throughout the hotel was evident, with the rooms being quirky and very well equipped. Not only were they spotless and comfortable, but they also provided a shower and a nice deep bath - perfect for unwinding after a long day of exploring. Another pleasant surprise was the complementary dressing gowns, adding an extra touch of luxury to my stay. Breakfast in the morning was a delight, with a selection of delicious options to start the day off right. The hotel's central location in the village made it convenient for me to explore nearby castles, museums, and enjoy some great walks. All in all, this hotel truly exceeded my expectations and I cannot wait to return.

I honestly couldn't fault this hotel in any way.

The location is lovely, peaceful and relaxing. The food was very good and the restaurant lovely.

We had reserved a double room and were assigned a twin although the hotel did apologise for this. I would have preferred to know that we were to be staying in the annex as this may have influenced my decision to stay there. We were also disappointed to be eating in the brasserie rather than in the main restaurant. We were not given any choice over this and I feel that perhaps as customers of Booked.net with a discounted rate, we were not given the best service.
